Spearton Lore

The story of the Speartons — the spear-and-shield nation of Stick War — from their disciplined culture to their service in Order’s army and beyond.

The Speartons are the spear-and-shield nation of Inamorta — disciplined, armored soldiers who follow the way of the spear. This page covers their lore: their nation, their culture, their war with Order and their role across the series. For combat stats and builds, see the Spearton unit page.

Who Are the Speartons?

The Speartons are one of the great weapon nations of the Stick War series. In the opening narration they are the people of the spear — a nation that has turned its weapon into a religion. They are disciplined soldiers who fight with spear and shield, built for holding lines and breaking enemy formations.

Spear & Shield Culture

Spearton culture centers on the spear and the shield as sacred objects. Their warriors are trained for formation fighting: shield up, spear forward, and no ground given. This discipline makes them the most reliable soldiers among the weapon nations — and the hardest for Order to break when their time comes.

Campaign Role

In the original campaign the Speartons are a mid-game opponent for Order, fielding armored lines that punish careless attacks. Order must out-economy them and break their formations to conquer their homeland. Their defeat is one of the turning points of the campaign.

Integration into Order

After their conquest, the Speartons become one of Order’s strongest frontline units. Their spear-and-shield discipline gives the imperial army an anchor it lacked — a unit that can hold ground while the faster nations flank. The Order Empire page explains how Order builds its army from conquered peoples.

Later Series Role

The Speartons continue across the series as Order troops and as rebels when the conquered nations rise. Later entries add leader figures tied to the Speartons and expand their role beyond the original campaigns. Their identity as the disciplined shield of Inamorta endures through every era of the story.
