How the unit system works

The Stick War roster is built around a few core units that you produce, upgrade and mix on the battlefield. Upgrades make individual units stronger and are typically fueled by resources and the premium currency known as gems. Because there is no single dominant unit, most strategies are a mix: a durable frontline covers your ranged and magic damage, while fast melee chases down whichever threat matters most.

Matchups and counters

Strength and weakness are relative. Shielded frontline beats arrow fire but loses to magic; fast melee chases ranged but folds to shielded frontline; area magic shreds swarms but dies to a quick flank. For each matchup and build, open the individual unit page linked above. For a community ranking, see the Stick War tier list.
